Option 1 — Microsoft Outlook (Recommended Method)

This method preserves important technical information used for analysis.

Windows Outlook (Desktop)

1. Open the suspicious email (do not click anything)
2. Click File
3. Click Save As
4. Choose a safe location (Desktop is fine)
5. Save as .msg file
6. Submit the saved file via your NetworkJ ticket

This keeps:

• Email headers
• Attachments
• Sender information
• Routing information

All of which helps with investigation.

Option 2 — Outlook Drag & Drop Method (Quickest)

1. Open suspicious email
2. Drag the email to your Desktop
3. This creates a .msg file
4. Upload this file to your NetworkJ ticket

This is often the easiest method.
